Todd McShay NFL Mock Draft Has Torrey Smith Going No. 49 To Jacksonville Jaguars

ESPN's Todd McShay just came out with his final 2011 NFL Mock Draft, and it is a full seven rounds long. Therefore, he projects a number of key local prospects to be drafted. Maryland wide receiver Torrey Smith is the first local player to come off the board in McShay's mock draft. The Terps' standout is projected to be picked No. 49 overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Smith was seen as a borderline first-round pick early in the NFL Draft process, but most projections don't have him listed among the top 32 prospects as of right now. Therefore, it looks more likely that he will end up slipping to the second round.

The Jaguars will likely have a need for a wide receiver, depending on the free-agent status of Mike Sims-Walker. Even if Sims-Walker is retained, a No. 2 receiver is a need, and Smith is certainly capable of filling it.

The first round of the 2011 NFL Draft starts at 8 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, April 28, and SB Nation has everything you need to prepare: NFL mock drafts, draft projections, scouting reports, the full NFL draft schedule and more.
