The Maryland spring football game is on Saturday at 3:30 p.m., and besides the position battles and overall first impression fans receive from watching the team, there really isn't all that much on the line. That is, until coach Randy Edsall decided to step in and up the ante, so to speak.

↵↵↵↵↵"It's high stakes, because next week on Wednesday the winners get steak and shrimp, and the losers get beans and franks," Maryland coach Randy Edsall said Thursday. "Trying to make it competitive and let ‘em go out there and have some fun."

Edsall, meanwhile, said he'll be on the winning side no matter what because he is the head coach. He said he could have steaks and shrimp if he want it, or he'll have beans and franks. It's totally up to him. Well, that seems a bit unfair, doesn't it?
