VIDEO: Greivis Vasquez's Three-Pointer To Send Grizzlies-Thunder To Double Overtime

If any Maryland fans were up at 1:30 in the morning on Monday night, they witnessed an old friend doing what he used to do here locally all the time. Greivis Vasquez, the former Maryland star that has settled into a niche as a rookie backup point guard for the Memphis Grizzlies, hit a huge shot in the first overtime of a thrilling Game 4 of the second-round 2011 NBA Playoffs series.

The three-pointer, which looked a lot like many wild shots he took and made while at Maryland, tied the game and eventually sent it into double overtime. The Grizzlies ultimately lost, but it wasn't Vasquez's fault. Called on because starter Mike Conley and backup combo guard O.J. Mayo had fouled out, Vasquez showed he is always a big-game player, hitting that shot and also making a key layup and a foul in double OT. Whether it's the ACC or the NBA, Vasquez's cojones will always be there.
