VIDEO: Da'Rel Scott Runs 97 Yards For Touchdown In NFL Preseason Game

Da'Rel Scott was once one of the premier running backs in the ACC as a member of the Maryland football team. Now, he's just trying to do his best to stick in the NFL. This play should help his case. Here's Scott scampering 97 yards in a Monday night preseason game for the New York Giants against the Chicago Bears.

The really crazy thing about this run is that it should have been a two-yard loss. Scott fell down over his own lineman while trying to get out of the backfield, but was able to stay on his feet. Perhaps the Bears players thought he was down, because they all pursued Scott too much and gave him a huge running hole to break it loose.

Scott was the Giants' seventh-round pick in the 2011 NFL Draft and is trying to find a place on the roster behind Ahmad Bradhaw and Brandon Jacobs.
