If the Maryland football team wants to top West Virginia, they'll have to do it without wide receivers Quintin McCree and Ronnie Tyler. Both have been suspended for Saturday's game for a violation of team rules, according to a University press release. Via Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun.
Maryland receivers Ronnie Tyler and Quintin McCree -- both key senior players -- have been suspended for violations of team rules.
McCree and Tyler are two of the top three Terps on the wide receiver depth chart, so this is a big loss for Maryland. McCree caught seven passes for 43 yards in the season opener vs. Miami, while Tyler caught six passes for 43 yards and a touchdown. Kevin Dorsey, who had a big game vs. Miami, will need to step up in their absence.
