The Maryland Terrapins are off to a really bad start in their game against Temple. After going for a three and out on their first possession, the Terps allowed Temple to score a touchdown in just four plays on the Owls' opening drive. Bernard Pierce finished the drive off with a one-yard touchdown to give the Owls a 7-0 lead.
After Maryland's three and out, Temple got the ball near midfield. On the Owls' first play, they slung it out to tight end Evan Rodriguez in the flat, and nobody covered him. Rodriguez raced all the way down to Maryland's three-yard line until he was pushed out of bounds. Maryland stopped Temple on the first two plays after that, but Pierce got a nice block and was able to bounce outside for the touchdown on third down.
