Sure, it's not College Gameday with Chris, Kirk, Lee and Desmond, but the second best thing is coming to Byrd Stadium's student section Monday night for the Terrapins match-up with the Miami Hurricanes: College Football Live. Via Testudo Times, here is the email sent to Maryland students:
Attention Students!
ESPN's College Football Live crew will be broadcasting from inside Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium for the Maryland Football game Monday night against Miami. The backdrop of the show's set will be the student section! With the gates opening at 6:30pm, we need the student section PACKED before we go LIVE on National TV from 7 - 8pm, . Let's show this country what Terrapin Nation is all about - make plans to arrive early, WEAR WHITE (see umterps.com/OPERATION54K), and make some noise!
The show will begin broadcasting live from the stadium at 7:00 P.M. on ESPN, running an hour until the Terps and Canes kickoff at 8:00 P.M. The gates open at 6:30 P.M., so hopefully some rowdy, raucous, good sign-making Maryland fans will answer the call presented in the email and fill the student section before the cameras go live. Perhaps ESPN will even throw local fans a bone and have ex-Redskin Mark May on Monday evening's broadcast.
