Georgia Tech Vs. Maryland: Terrapins Host Feisty Yellow Jackets In Sunday Conference Matchup

The Maryland Terrapins(11-4, 1-1 ACC) welcome conference foe Georgia Tech (8-8, 1-1) to the Comcast Center Sunday afternoon, looking to build on their first ACC win of the year, a 70-64 defeat of Wake Forest on Wednesday.

Tipoff is scheduled for 4:00 PM ET, and the game can be seen locally on WDCA Channel 20 and on ESPN3.

The biggest concern entering this game for the Terrapins is the health of guard Terrell Stoglin, the ACC's leading scorer (21.3 ppg). Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon has said Stoglin will not start for the second game in a row, but will play in the game, and the coaching staff has indicated Stolglin's back injury is not a major problem.

Georgia Tech is coming off an impressive conference road victory, beating North Carolina State 82-71 in Raleigh on Wednesday. The rebuilding Yellow Jackets have been led in conference play by Glenn Rice Jr., who scored a career-high 28 points in a loss to Duke one week ago and then added 22 points in the win over the Wolfpack.

Maryland has won five straight home games against Georgia Tech, and since the 2003-2004 season the Terrapins have taken 10 of the 11 matchups with the Yellow Jackets.
