2012 Senior Bowl: Mike Shanahan's South Team Falls, 23-13

The 2012 Senior Bowl had an all-too-familiar end for Redskins coach Mike Shanahan as his South team fell 23-13 against the North squad on Saturday evening at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Ala.

Coaching against the Minnesota Vikings' staff, Shanahan's Redskins assistants helped their team outgain the North 331-279, but two interceptions by Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden and one by San Diego State's Ryan Lindley proved too much to overcome.

Michigan State's Kirk Cousins and Wisconsin's Russell Wilson threw touchdown passes for the North against a lone touchdown pas by Arizona's Nick Foles for the South. Foles, however, finished as the game's leading passer with 136 yards on 11-15 passing.

Vick Ballard led Shanahan's South squad on the ground with 29 yards on seven carries while Arkansas wide receiver Joe Adams was the team's and the game's big receiver with 116 yards on six receptions.
