2012 College Football Schedule: Virginia-Maryland meeting among key weekend ACC battles

Maryland will look to win a second straight to start its ACC schedule against Virginia.

Charles LeClaire-US PRESSWIRE - Presswire

After starting their ACC schedule with a victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, the Maryland Terrapins will look to hand the Virginia Cavaliers their third straight ACC loss in one of the key ACC games of the weekend.

The Terrapins, the only undefeated team in conference play remaining in the conference's Atlantic Division, will look to continue to pace the group after the Florida State Seminoles suffered their first loss of the season last weekend against the North Carolina State Wolfpack.

The Cavaliers currently bring up the back of the Coastal Division as the only team among the division's six teams without a conference victory.

The Navy Midshipmen will also be under some pressure to win as they look to even their record at 3-3 as they take on the Central Michigan Chippewas.
