Stefon Diggs kick-started Maryland's 27-20 win over Virginia with 103-yard TD return

Stefon Diggs returned the opening kickoff 103 yards for a touchdown in Maryland's 27-20 victory over the Virginia Cavaliers in Charlottesville on Saturday.

The Maryland Terrapins moved to 4-2 on the year, 2-0 in ACC play, with a 27-20 win over the Virginia Cavaliers on Saturday in Charlottesville. Once again, dynamic freshman Stefon Diggs played a key role in the victory, this time beginning the contest with a 103-yard kickoff return for touchdown. Oddly enough, the Cavaliers were apparently caught off guard by Diggs' opening return. Via Patrick Stevens:

Diggs finished the day with 147 yards on three kick returns. He also caught four passes for 89 yards, and had one carry for three yards.

For the year, the talented first-year Terp has returned 10 kickoffs for 333 yards and 18 punts for 197 yards. He has also caught 21 balls for 453 yards and three touchdowns, chipping in 34 yards on seven rushes.
