The Virginia Tech Hokies will fly south this week to face the Miami Hurricanes on Thursday night at Sun Life Stadium. The Hokies are hoping to rebound from a 38-17 loss to No. 13 Clemson, which dropped them to 4-4 on the season.
Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas accounted for 306 total yards and two touchdowns on offense, but he also threw two interceptions as part of a four turnover game for the Hokies. Those miscues were surely the difference in the game, as Virginia Tech outgained Clemson by 111 yards and held nearly an eight-minute advantage in time of possession.
Elsewhere, the Navy Midshipmen will go for their fifth consecutive victory on Saturday against Florida Atlantic. Since a 12-0 loss to San Jose State on Sept. 29, the Midshipmen have won four straight while averaging 36.5 points per contest.
The Virginia Cavaliers and Maryland Terrapins will be in action on Saturday as well. Here is the schedule for the weekend:
