The Maryland Terrapins try to continue a strong non-conference schedule with a 11th straight win over a team from the MEAC in Delaware State.
The Hornets shouldn't provide a major test for Maryland. They might be one of the better teams in the MEAC, and earned an intra-state win over a Delaware team that made it to the semifinals of the preseason NIT, but they've struggled against mediocre-to-good competition. Ken Pomeroy has them ranked No. 284 out of the 347 teams in the country, and after starting 3-0 with a pair of wins against non-Division I teams and an overtime win against Wagner, they've gone 2-7, with losses to Navy and Eastern Kentucky.
Everything's gone right for Maryland, although they only won by seven points against Stony Brook. They're No. 4 in the nation in both assists per game, with 18.6, as well as in rebounds per game, with 44.4.
The game is Saturday at 12:30 p.m., and will be broadcast on ESPN3.
