The waiting game on the transfer status of Maryland Terrapins quarterback Danny O'Brien continues, and a blog post from the Baltimore Sun suggest fans shouldn't expect a decision to come anytime in the very near future.
I'm told to expect some news by early next week," wrote Jeff Barker of the Baltimore Sun.
On Wednesday, it was reported that O'Brien was meeting with Maryland head coach Randy Edsall to discuss him leaving College Park. However, a tweet from O'Brien just an hour after the news broke refuted the claims of a transfer, but an individual with knowledge of situation said that O'Brien was going to take the weekend to discuss all options with his family.
O'Brien, a redshirt sophomore, is eligible to graduate this spring, which would enable him to transfer to another FBS school without sitting out a year. However, it is not clear whether O'Brien will actually graduate early.
