Stefon Diggs Commits To Maryland Football Over Ohio State, Florida

The waiting is over and Stefon Diggs has made his decision. He will play football at the University of Maryland beginning this fall.

Diggs makes it official. He's going to Maryland.

The Good Counsel product, a five-star-rated wide receiver by Rivals, made his decision at Looney's Pub in College Park Friday evening. Diggs had reportedly been considering Ohio State, Florida, and Auburn in addition to his hometown Terps. The wide receiver said that his mother had faxed the National Letter of Intent to Maryland earlier that day, making his commitment binding.

Diggs is the most prominent recruit to commit to Maryland during the tenure of second-year head coach Randy Edsall and first-year offensive coordinator Mike Locksley. The wide receiver visited Maryland's campus last weekend, where he was hosted by quarterback (and rumored want-away) Danny O'Brien and took in the Maryland basketball game against North Carolina.
