There's a lot of love in College Park on Friday night, as five-star recruit Stefon Diggs made it official and chose Maryland at Looney's Pub on Route 1. Head coach Randy Edsall quickly tweeted and released a statement that he was happy to have Diggs on board, and the top prospect expressed the same sentiment towards Edsall and the Terp football program. Diggs said all the right things for Terp fans at the announcement ceremony, and he continued that afterwards when speaking with the press.
He's a good guy. He's a very stand-up guy. I believe in his plan for succeeding in the classroom academically. That's one of the important reasons I chose UMD cause I feel like I'll succeed. He accepts nothing but your best. Some people have a problem with it, but it's nothing wrong with structure.
