Danny O'Brien Transfer: Randy Edsall Ready To 'Move Forward' From Transfer Situation

Coach Randy Edsall removed the restrictions preventing Danny O'Brien among others from transferring to Vanderbilt on Wednesday, and both sides commented on the decision. According to Eric Prisbell of the Washington Post, Edsall is ready to put this whole station behind himself and the program.

"As a program we are looking forward to putting this distraction behind us and to moving forward. Spring practice opens on March 10 and we can’t wait to get back out on the field."

Unfortunately we won't be able to move on and put this situation behind us because Maryland has filed a complaint with the ACC and SEC about possible tampering by Vanderbilt, but we'll do the best we can to forget about it until that situation plays itself out. O'Brien had this to say.

"I am pleased to be able to move on and pursue a graduate degree and continue my athletic career at the school of my choosing." O’Brien said in a statement. "I would like to thank Coach Edsall for his support throughout this process."

We still don't know if O'Brien intends to transfer to Vanderbilt, but considering the fact that his family was ready to appeal Edsall's decision, it seems like that will in fact be the case.
