Danny O'Brien Transfer: Vanderbilt Acknowledges Tampering Accusations

Now that Danny O'Brien has been granted his full release from the University of Maryland, the focus in this story turns to the complaints of tampering that Randy Edsall and Maryland football have filed with the SEC and ACC against Vanderbilt University and James Franklin. Vanderbilt has acknowledged those accusations, and released this statement, via The City Paper of Nashville.

"We have been informed by the Southeastern Conference that the Atlantic Coast Conference has filed a formal complaint involving Vanderbilt University football on behalf of one of its members," Williams said in a brief statement issued by the university on Wednesday. "We are complying with SEC and Vanderbilt procedures and are conducting an investigation on the matter."

My guess is that it takes a little while for the respective conferences to figure out how they are going to go about these investigations and then to ultimately complete them.
