The Maryland Terrapins (16-11, 6-7 ACC) head to Atlanta on Saturday, looking to win a crucial road game and reach the .500 mark in ACC play. Their opponent, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (9-18, 2-11) are simply trying to escape the conference basement in their last three ACC games of the year.
Maryland is coming off a key 75-70 comeback victory Tuesday over the Miami Hurricanes that allowed them to enter into a fifth place tie in the conference with those very same Hurricanes. Terrell Stoglin lead the way with 20 points, but the Terps also got a much needed big game out of James Padgett, who finished with 16 points and six rebounds.
Georgia Tech is coming off an embarrassing 56-37 loss to the Clemson Tigers. The Yellow Jackets shot just 31 percent from the floor and turned the all over 18 times in the defeat.
Maryland has won 11 of their last 12 games against Georgia Tech, including ten straight in the regular season.
