A few hours after Terrell Stoglin tweeted the news that he would return to College Park for his junior season, the university confirmed that the ACC's leading scorer in 2011-12 would indeed be back.
Per Liz Clarke of the Washington Post:
"It’s my final decision," Stoglin said ...Stoglin said he reached his decision after talking with his father Tuesday night and with Coach Mark Turgeon on Wednesday morning. Neither tried to talk him into staying or leaving, Stoglin said, but the two conversations helped him sort out what he wanted to do.
Meanwhile, Patrick Stevens of the Washington Times got through to Mark Turgeon and got these quotes.
More Turgeon: "It’s good for Maryland basketball. I feel like he needs to grow as a complete player ..."

More Turgeon: "... and I think Terrell wants to be part of an NCAA tournament."

Well, then. That's the kind of thing that creates expectations.
