The Maryland Terrapins and Wake Forest Demon Deacons are both shooting the ball well in a game that has been very entertaining through the first 20 minutes. There has been just as much solid defense as quality shooting, with both teams looking much better than their records. It's been an even game and the teams have been hard to separate, but the Terps turned it on at the very end of the half. At halftime, Maryland leads 36-31.
Maryland really stepped up on the defensive end in the final four minutes of the half as they grabbed a couple of steals after the under-four minute media timeout and did not let Wake Forest grab any offensive rebounds. Their 19-10 overall rebounding advantage and their 5-1 advantage on the offensive boards has been the biggest difference between the two teams.
Wake Forest's C.J. Harris leads all scorers with 13 points. Terrell Stoglin leads the Terps with nine points.
