2012 ACC Tournament, Boston College Vs. NC State Final Score: Wolfpack Dominate, Will Face Virginia In 2nd Round

The N.C. State Wolfpack never trailed on their way to a 78-57 win over the Boston College Eagles in the first round of the 2012 ACC Tournament on Thursday. The Eagles were held out without a field goal for over seven minutes to open up the game. During that span, Scott Wood hit two of his five 3-pointers for the game, scoring eight of his 22 points.

The Wolfpack were impressive in all facets of their game, but perhaps especially on defense. Richard Howell and C.J. Leslie had 12 and 11 rebounds, respectively, and Boston College committed 19 turnovers to 11 for N.C. State. Lorenzo Brown was the second leading scorer for the Wolfpack, with 12 points along with eight assists.

Ryan Anderson had 22 points and 12 rebounds for the Eagles, but got little help elsewhere in a 38.6 percent shooting performance by the team. The Wolfpack will face the Virginia Cavaliers in the second round at 2 p.m. ET on Friday.
