A depleted Maryland football team will take the field on Saturday after six weeks of spring practice for the annual Red-White Game, but injuries and transfers will cause this year's game to have a slightly different look than in year's past.
The traditional two-team game set-up has been replaced by a scrimmage that will pit first-team offense against first-team defense, with points being awarded to the two sides based on big plays, sacks, turnovers, touchdowns and field goals.
Keep an eye on the quarterback situation, as the transfer of Danny O'Brien to Wisconsin leaves C.J. Brown as the only experienced signal caller for coach Randy Edsall. Brown will be commanding a new offense, as Mike Locksley has come back to College Park as Edsall's offensive coordinator after two-plus disastrous year's at the helm of New Mexico's football program..
