Maryland sophomore Mychal Parker will transfer to Loyola, according to a report. Terps' coach Mark Turgeon officially announced the 6'5 forward's release in early April but he deliberated his next move for a month. Then came news of the transfer up the road to defending MAAC Champion Loyola, via Matt Bracken of The Baltimore Sun:
Maryland transfer Mychal Parker has committed to Loyola, per a source. The former 4-star prospect will have 2 years remaining

Parker will play for former Maryland assistant Jimmy Patsos, and should have plenty of opportunities to succeed at the mid-major level. He's a highly-touted four-star recruit with plenty of athleticism and potential, but he failed to make much of an impact for the Terps in College Park.
