The Maryland Terrapins missed out on a home grown prospect for their team. Wide reciever Taivon Jacobs, a graduate of Suitland High School committed to the Ohio St. Buckeyes, according to a tweet by Jakob Engleke of Inside Maryland Sports.
Taivon Jacobs has committed to Ohio State, IMS has learned. Picked OSU over #Terps and West Virginia.

Jacobs, measuring in at 5'10" and 165 pounds was clocked as having a 4.47 40-yard dash and a 34-inch vertical leap. It is more than likely that the prospect of playing for head coach Urban Meyer was too big an opportunity for the receiver to pass up. The Terrapins hopefully can get past this disappointment and still get a strong recruiting class for 2013.
