Maryland Basketball Recruiting: Abdul-Malik Adu Puts Terrapins On Final List

Abdul-Malik Abu, a power forward recruit for the Class of 2014, will place the Maryland Terrapins basketball program on his final list of schools, Abu told SNY's Adam Zagoria shortly after a visit to Maryland on Monday. Abu has scholarship offers from Maryland, Connecticut Huskies, Cincinnati Bearcats and Michigan State Spartans.

Abdul said the school was amazing," Expressions 16s coach Tyron Boswell said. "They showed them all the facilities and all the great players who played there. And obviously it’s attractive with getting guys to the next level."

Abdul, a 6'8, 233-pound forward, has been given a four-star rating by Rivals and has been ranked No. 47 overall by ESPN Recruiting. Currently, Abdul, a Boston, Mass., native, plays for Kimball Union Academy in Meriden, N.H.

Abdul didn't give a timetable of when he will announce his verbal commitment.
