IUPUI vs. Maryland game recap: Terrapins top Jaguars, grab 12th straight win

IUPUI gets out to an early lead, but Maryland's sharp shooting and guard Sean Esposito's team-high 16 points leads Maryland to its 12th straight win, 81-63.

The Maryland Terrapins' final non-conference game of the 2012-13 season was a successful one, as the Terrapins continued their winning ways despite an early deficit, besting the Summit League's IUPUI Jaguars, 81-63, in the Comcast Center in College Park, Md.

The Terrapins were able to best the Jaguars in large part because of sharp shooting on the night, as Maryland connected on more than half of their shot attempts and scored 40 and 41 points in the two halves, respectively, on the night.

Maryland was down by as many as 10 points early in the game, as Donovan Gibbs, who finished with 13 points, helped lead IUPUI to a fast start despite being on the road against the tough Maryland crowd on New Year's Day.

Only two Maryland players scored in double figures, as 13 Terrapins saw minutes on the night. Freshman guard Seth Allen led the Terrapins with 13 points off the bench in the victory, while Logan Aronhalt finished with 10 points.
