The Atlanta Dream closed out their first round series tonight, and in doing so, also closed out the Washington Mystics' season.

For the second game in a row, it was the Mystics' defense that let them down. After giving up 95 points to the Dream earlier in the week, Washington allowed the Dream to drop 101 on them tonight. Mystics stars Crystal Langhorne and Marissa Coleman combined for just 20 points, while the Dream had three players with 20 points or more.

The Mystics opened up with a solid first-quarter lead, but the Dream dominated the second-quarter with a score of 33-7, and they never looked back.

The loss can only be seen as a disappointment for the Mystics, who had gone on a late-season run to grab first place in the Eastern Conference.

After falling 95-91 in game one in Washington, the Mystics face elimination tonight in Atlanta.

Mystics head coach Julie Plank told WNBA.com that the top-seeded Mystics must do better defensively if they want to advance in the playoffs.

"I was very disappointed with our defensive effort,'' Plank said. "You can't give up 95 points. I don't care if it's regular season, definitely not the playoffs. ... They pretty much got whatever they wanted.''
