The Wizards beat the Bucks by a score of 100-85 to end an eight-game losing streak. Washington established the lead early in the game, taking a 47-37 lead at the half, and held on for a comfortable win at the Verizon Center.

Nick Young led the way with 26 points and a highlight slam over Ersan Ilyasova.

The Wizards got a strong effort from their bigs, led by JaVale McGee. McGee finished with 16 points and 17 rebounds for the Wizards, who owned a 51-39 advantage on the glass. Andray Blatche chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds.

The Wizards were also able to limit Andrew Bogut. The Bucks center had eight points in the first quarter, but finished with just 12 points, though he added 11 rebounds.

Brandon Jennings -- playing with a screw in his foot -- was also not particularly effective. He picked it up in the second half to finish with 20 points, but needed 24 shots to get there.

The Wizards get one more home game Saturday against the Spurs before heading back on the road with a trip to Cleveland on Sunday, Feb. 13.

The John Wall-Brandon Jennings matchup has taken a back seat as Nick Young lead the Wizards in points and highlight dunks in the first half. Washington enters intermission leading the Bucks by a score of 47-37.

Young provided the future YouTube material when he drove from the wing and rose up over Ersan Ilyasova for the slam. He has 13 points and three rebounds at the half.

The Wizards also got production down low from JaVale McGee, who already has a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. That effort has helped the Wizards own the glass with a 27-18 advantage in an area that gave them trouble in Saturday's loss to Atlanta.

Andrew Bogut has had success for Milwaukee at the other end with eight points and six rebounds. He added two blocks.

Jennings has been a relative non-factor for the Bucks, shooting just 2 for 8 and handing out just one assist. Wall meanwhile has seven points and four rebounds in 15 minutes.

The Wizards have controlled a somewhat ugly game, leading by as many as 12. The Bucks have not led by more than two points.

Do you like point guard play? You'll like this Bucks vs. Wizards matchup at the Verizon Center on Wednesday night.

Jennings may score the ball a little more than Wall (17.3 points per 36 minutes to 14.3 per 36 minutes), but each are lightening quick, young and exciting.

One thing in Wall's favor, Jennings recently returned to action after missing 19 games with a foot injury. Jennings told me before the game that he's getting used to playing with a screw in his foot, which he can feel especially when he makes hard cuts.

The Wizards are dealing with some injuries as well, and will only dress 10 players. Yi Jianlian and Al Thornton are each out. That could mean another chance to hitch yourself to the Trevor Booker bandwagon.

For the Wizards, this game represents as good a chance as any to nab a win and stop their now eight-game losing streak. Next up is the Spurs and then Washington is back on the road. Even if that first road game is against Cleveland, we don't need to revisit the Wizards' road prowess.
