Washington Redskins left tackle Trent Williams is among the nine injured Redskins whom the team has listed as probable for Sunday's game against the Seattle Seahawks. Williams, who has a strained MCL in his knee, will start. He injured himself in the Redskins' 27-24 loss to the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday while blocking on Graham Gano's would-be game-winning field goal, which the kicker pushed wide right.

In addition, top wide receiver Santana Moss is expected to return to the lineup after missing four games due to a broken hand. Despite playing in just six games in 2011, Moss ranks No. 3 among Redskins in receiving yards (301), No. 4 in receptions (25), and No. 2 in touchdown catches (2). Tight end Fred Davis leads the team in receptions and yardage.

Moss' fellow wide receivers aren't quite as healthy. Washington lists Niles Paul and Donte Stallworth as questionable for Sunday's matchup with Seattle due to turf toe and a foot injury, respectively. Paul, a rookie from Nebraska, has two catches for 25 yards this season, while Stallworth has nine receptions for 97 yards and a score.

The other hobbled Redskins who are nonetheless probable for Sunday: right tackle Jammal Brown, linebacker Keyaron Fox, safety DeJon Gomes, left guard Maurice Hurt, safety LaRon Landry, tackle Sean Locklear, and cornerback Josh Wilson.

All things considered, this week is shaping up to be Washington's healthiest in recent memory, but we won't know until Sunday whether that good fortune on the injury front will lead to the Redskins ending their six-game losing streak.

Washington Redskins wideout Santana Moss, out for the last four games with a broken left hand, practiced in full Wednesday and will return to the lineup Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, barring any setbacks, according to Rick Maese of the Washington Post. Moss told reporters "I feel like my hand is ready," notes Rich Campell.

Moss suffered the injury against the Carolina Panthers on Oct. 23 and had to leave the game. He underwent surgery the next day and initially announced a recovery timetable of three-to-six weeks, so returning against Seattle would put him right on schedule.

Moss, a one-time Pro Bowler, has 25 catches for 301 yards this season, with two touchdowns. His return would likely lower the workload of tight end Fred Davis, the team's leading receiver, and make Washington's offense at least a touch more dynamic.

The Washington Redskins, losers of six straight games, haven't received much good news in recent weeks. However, it may come as a relief to them that wide receiver Santana Moss, who has missed the Redskins' last five games due to a broken hand, plans to "give it a go" in Wednesday's practice, potentially paving the way for his return Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. "I don't know how it's going to go," Moss said of the possibility of practicing Wednesday. "I take it day by day."

Moss led Washington wideouts in receptions and yards prior to breaking his hand, and remains the team's most dangerous deep threat. During his absence, Washington has managed just three touchdowns through the air, and only one prior to Sunday's overtime loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

In six games this season, the 32-year-old Moss has 25 catches for 301 yards and two touchdowns. Remarkably, those figures rank him No. 4, 3, and 2 on the team in those categories, respetively, despite missing nearly half of its offensive snaps.

There's an 'outside chance' Santana Moss could return to the Washington Redskins' lineup on Nov. 27 against the Seattle Seahawks, coach Mike Shanahan said Thursday, according to Grant Paulsen. A broken hand has sidelined the veteran wide receiver since Oct. 23, when he suffered the injury against the Carolina Panthers. At the time of the injury, Moss led all Redskins wideouts in receptions and yards, and ranked No. 2 on the team in those categories to tight end Fred Davis.

Prior to facing Seattle, the Redskins take on the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 20. The team has already ruled Moss out for that game, but his potential return a week later is good news for a team that's struggled in the passing game in his absence. In the three full games Moss has missed, Washington quarterbacks John Beck and Rex Grossman have thrown for 677 yards, one touchdown, and five interceptions. Jabar Gaffney recorded the Redskins' lone touchdown reception in the interim.

This season, his seventh as a Redskin, Moss has 25 receptions for 301 yards and two scores. With 6443 receiving yards, Moss stands just 49 yards behind Bobby Mitchell for No. 4 in Washington franchise history.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss said Wednesday the broken left hand he suffered against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday will only keep him off the field for 3-to-6 weeks, reports Grant Paulsen. That projection, which Moss said he received from team doctors, is more optimistic than the one Mike Shanahan offered Monday, when the Redskins coach said Moss would miss 5-to-7 weeks.

Moss leads Redskins wideouts in receptions (25) and ranks No. 2 in yards (301). His absence, no matter the duration, means Jabar Gaffney becomes the top wide receiver, and puts more pressure on tight end Fred Davis, who leads all Redskins in receptions (28) and yards (423).

In the next three weeks, Washington will face the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers, and Miami Dolphins. Of those three, only San Francisco boasts an imposing defense, so perhaps the Redskins can make due without Moss. But given their rash of injuries--which you can follow in this StoryStream at SB Nation DC--their margin for error, no matter the opponent, is slim.

Santana Moss is expected to miss between five to seven weeks, said Washington Redskins head coach Mike Shanahan in a Monday news conference, following surgery on his broken left hand. Moss, who leads Redskins wide receivers with 25 catches this season, suffered the injury Sunday in the Skins' 33-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

Should Moss miss just five weeks, he'd sit out games against the Buffalo Bills on Oct. 30, the San Francisco 49ers on Nov. 6, the Miami Dolphins on Nov. 13., the Dallas Cowboys on Nov. 20, and the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 27.

The Redskins are already a mediocre passing team, ranking No. 21 in touchdowns (seven) and No. 31 in interceptions (10) on the season. As Gregg Rosenthal of Pro Football Talk notes, Moss and Jabar Gaffney are the only Washington wide receivers with more than 60 yards receiving on the season; tight end Fred Davis leads the team with 28 catches for 423 yards.

Without their best wide receiver, Washington figures to have to rely even more on the run game for offense. However, lead running back Tim Hightower has a torn ACL which may rule him out for the season -- a story you can follow in this StoryStream on SB Nation D.C. -- which further complicates matters.

At 3-3, the Redskins are tied with the Dallas Cowboys for second place in the NFC East, trailing the division-leading New York Giants by one game.

Santana Moss' broken hand injury is evidently serious enough to cause the Washington Redskins' wide receiver to undergo surgery on Monday. Moss sent out the following message on his Twitter account announcing that he was about to go under the knife.

Moss suffered the injury early in the Redskins' 33-20 loss to the Carolina Panthers. After the game, coach Mike Shanahan announced that Moss had indeed broken his left hand. Neither Moss nor Shanahan announced a timetable for Moss' return, but if he is indeed having surgery, he will likely miss several weeks.

Moss has 23 receptions for 284 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season. In his absence, Jabar Gaffney, Anthony Armstrong and Terrence Austin will need to step up.

Washington Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss was forced to leave the game against the Carolina Panthers with a hand injury, and as it turns out, the injury appears to be serious. Moss did indeed suffer a broken bone in his hand, coach Mike Shanahan announced in his postgame press conference.

Shanahan didn't say how long Moss would be sidelined for at this time, suggesting that Moss will need additional X-Rays. However, he was very clear in saying that Moss has a broken bone. He was asked later in the press conference to confirm the news, and he repeated that Moss has a broken bone.

Moss has 23 receptions for 284 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season.
