The Week 10 BCS rankings are now officially out and the Clemson Tigers take a dive as Virginia Tech continues to climb. Even with the loss to Georgia Tech, Clemson still lead the ACC in the BCS rankings, falling from No. 5 in the rankings all the way to No. 11. Clemson still controls their fate in the Atlantic division and can still climb back up in the rankings, with a game against No. 9 South Carolina still on the table.

Virginia Tech continues to slowly creep up the BCS standings, moving up from No. 12 to No. 11 after their near upset against Duke, 14-10. Georgia Tech comes in on the polls from the unranked up to No. 23 after handing Clemson their first loss of the season. The Hokies can still climb in the rankings however, as they still have a match up with Georgia Tech this weekend and are in the drivers seat in the Coastal division.

The Maryland Terrapins have already played two of the three BCS ranked ACC teams, losing to both Clemson and Georgia Tech. The Terps kept it close against the Yellow Jackets, losing just 21-16. The Terps were run over by the Tigers the very next week however, 56-45.

Virginia Tech looked pretty bad in slipping by lowly Duke, 14-10, on Saturday, and the two sets of college football rankings are unsure whether to place the Hokies above Clemson, who lost to Georgia Tech on Saturday night. The AP poll put Clemson ahead, but the USA Today/ESPN poll has the Hokies in front.

In the AP poll, Clemson is ranked No. 11 overall, while Virginia Tech is ranked No. 12. In the USA Today poll, however, the order is reversed, with Virginia Tech at No. 11 and Clemson at No. 12. The two teams are on course to meet in the ACC Championship Game, so we'll get a final answer at some point.

The only other ACC team to make the Top 25 is Georgia Tech, who re-entered the polls with the win over Clemson. The Yellow Jackets are ranked No. 22 in the AP Poll and No. 23 in the USA Today poll.

Update: Latest BCS rankings are here.

Clemson's loss is likely Virginia Tech's gain, at least when it comes to the BCS Standings.

The BCS Rankings projections for Week 10 suggest there will be a new ACC team highest on the list. After suffering its first loss of the season, Clemson is expected to drop fairly far in the rankings when they come out on Sunday night. That will allow Virginia Tech to jump ahead of them and be higher on the list.

According to the latest projections by Samuel Chi of SBNation.com, Virginia Tech will be ranked No. 10, whereas Clemson is outside of the top 15. Of course, not all is lost for Clemson. The Tigers still have the inside track to the ACC title game, where they'll likely see the Hokies again. Clemson routed Virginia Tech in the meeting between the two teams earlier in the season, so the Hokies will need to play better to earn the ACC's automatic bid.
