<p>The 25th-ranked <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/auburn-tigers">Auburn Tigers</a> (8-5) dismantled the <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/teams/virginia-cavaliers">Virginia Cavaliers</a> (8-5) on New Year's Eve in the Chick-fil-A Bowl, winning 43-24 behind backup running back <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/78531/onterio-mccalebb">Onterio McCalebb's</a> huge performance.</p>
<p>With star running back Michael Dyer suspended for a violation of team rules, Auburn's backup rusher ran for 109 yards and scored two touchdowns in the Tigers' biggest offensive output of the season.</p>
<p>Despite losing quarterback <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/78527/clint-moseley">Clint Moseley</a> in the first quarter to an ankle injury, the Auburn offense did not miss a beat. Replacement signal caller <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/35416/barrett-trotter">Barrett Trotter</a> threw for 175 yards and a touchdown, and <a class="sbn-auto-link" href="http://www.sbnation.com/ncaa-football/players/136333/kiehl-frazier">Kiehl Frazier</a> even ran for two touchdowns when Trotter was not in the game. All told Auburn rushed for 273 yards in the game.</p>
