It wasn't easy, even against a depleted Charlotte Bobcats (3-18) team, but the Washington Wizards (4-16) earned their first road win of the season Saturday evening with a 102-99 victory over Charlotte. It was Washington's second win over the Bobcats in the last four nights.

Washington's victory can be attributed to the team shooting 53 percent from the floor for the game, and a balanced offensive attack that saw six Wizards reach double digits, led by JaVale McGee's 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.

Point guard John Wall chipped in 13 points and 10 assists, Nick Young scored 21 points, and bench players Trevor Booker (16 points) and Jordan Crawford (12 points) helped Washington win their first road game since April of 2011 (coincidentally, against this same Bobcats team).

Charlotte was led in defeat by rookie point guard Kemba Walker, who scored 20 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and dished out 11 assists for the first triple-double by a rookie this year in the NBA.

The Washington Wizards will look to bounce back from Friday's loss when they face the Charlotte Bobcats on the road.

The Washington Wizards competed with the Houston Rockets for nearly three quarters on Friday before the wind fell out of their sales in a 103-76 loss. On Saturday, the Wizards will look to bounce back against a fellow NBA dormant in the Charlotte Bobcats on the road. Tip time is set for 7 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet.

The Wizards actually beat these very Bobcats, 92-75, at the Verizon Center in coach Randy Wittman's debut on Wednesday. That game was not nearly as close as that score indicated, so the Wizards should feel confident as they try to pick up their first road win of the season.

The Bobcats, like the Wizards, played on Friday night, falling on the road, 89-72, to the Philadelphia 76ers. Coach Paul Silas was ejected as Charlotte fell to an NBA-worst 3-17 on the season.
