The Washington Wizards snapped a five-game losing streak and picked up their sixth road win of the season on Monday night with a convincing 113-85 win over the Charlotte Bobcats. Washington lead the lowly Bobcats from the jump, going up 20 at the half and then extending the lead in the second half to cruise to the 28-point victory. It was a total team effort, as Randy Wittman got 67 points from his bench and had seven players in double figures.

Jordan Crawford scored a team-high 20 points, but the offensive production from the bench was outstanding. Playing again without Nene and Trevor Booker, James Singleton produced a double-double effort with 18 points and 12 rebounds in the frontcourt. Fellow ten-day contract teammate Cartier Martin matched Singleton with 19 points and Jan Vesely added a double-double of his own. While John Wall scored only two points, the point guard blitzed the Bobcats in transition and dished 12 assists to help Washington extend their lead in each quarter. The 28 team-assists led to perhaps the best offensive showing of season.

With the losing streak over, Washington will stay in the Southeast Division but return home on Tuesday night to face the Orlando Magic, who may be without Dwight Howard who was held out on Monday with back problems.

One of Washington's five road wins this season came in Charlotte against the lowly Bobcats in January. The Wizards put themselves in great position to pick up another road win on Monday night, leading 60-40 after 24 minutes. The only other time Washington lead by 20 points at the half this season was against this same Charlotte team at home. The Wizards were crisp and efficient in all phases on the offensive end, dishing 16 team-assists in the first half alone.

Washington was led by John Wall, who moved the ball in transition throughout the first half and has eight assists already. While Wall has only one bucket, he completely facilitated the offense and was picked up by 34 points of bench-scoring. James Singleton hit five of six attempts from the floor and has a team-high 14 points. Joining him off the bench was Cartier Martin, who added 13 points. On the defensive end, Washington forced 11 first-half Charlotte turnovers to bump the lead up to double digits in the second quarter.

The Washington Wizards will travel to Charlotte on Monday evening to take on the Bobcats and try to end their current five-game losing streak.

The Washington Wizards are in the midst of a five-game losing streak, dropping their fifth straight game to the New Jersey Nets on Friday. On Monday evening, the Wiz will close out their three-game road trip with a visit to North Carolina to take on the Charlotte Bobcats and hope to put an end to their losing slide. The Wizards are 2-0 so far on the season against the struggling Bobcats, beating Charlotte in their last meeting 102-99.

The Bobcats are in the middle of their own losing streak, but it's of the double-digit variety. The Bobcats have lost 11 games in a row and haven't won since the middle of March when they were able to beat the Toronto Raptors to pick up their seventh win of the NBA season. Both teams will be trying to end long losing streaks on Monday evening.
