Howard remains winless after getting blown out by Wichita State, 69-50, on Saturday.

The Howard Bison are still winless after being blown out by the Wichita St. Shockers, 69-50, on Saturday at Charles Koch Arena.

Howard kept the game close until the 7:01 mark of the first half, but a 21-0 run by the Shockers at the end of the half put the game out of reach early.

The Bison rallied in the second half and outscored the Shockers 36-32, but it wasn't enough to rebound from an early deficit. Ultimately, it was turnovers cost Howard, as they turned the ball over a jaw-dropping 26 times.

Forward Carl Hall and guard Demetric Williams led a balanced attack for Wichita St., scoring 11 points and grabbing six rebounds apiece. Guards Ron Baker and Evan Wessel added nine points apiece, and sophomore forward Jake White added eight points for the Shockers.

The Howard Bison will visit the Wichita State Shockers at Charles Koch Arena on Saturday

The Howard Bison (0-2) will visit the Wichita State Shockers (3-0) at Charles Koch Arena on Saturday in a non-conference game for the two teams involved.

After losing 66-36 to Iowa Thursday, the Bison will need to recover quickly for their tall test on Saturday against the Shockers. The Shockers will also be on the same amount of rest, but have the benefit of being the home team, though.

Looking at the two teams' strengths and weaknesses, albeit with a small sample size of games, the largest discrepancy is in points per game and rebounds.

The Bison have not only struggled putting the ball in the basket, but also have had a hard time hitting the glass, ranking 339th nationally in points per game and 318th in rebounds per game. The Shockers, meanwhile, thrive on the glass, as evidenced with their 94th overall rank in rebounds per game.

Date and Time: Saturday, Nov. 17, 3:00 p.m. ET

Location: Charles Koch Arena, Wichita, KS
