Half Smokes Hypothetical: One Step To Make The Capitals Above-Average

Half Smokes Hypothetical is a daily discussion where we throw out a D.C. sports-related question based on the news of the day. It's a hypothetical discussion, which is what makes it fun (we hope).

We aren't a very good team right now. We have a lot of work to do in practice. We have to heal up as we seem to lose a player in every game to injury that jumbles up the lines.

GASP! SHOCK! ANGER!

This blog post has made the rounds, even though Leonsis is merely stating the obvious. With only one more win than loss, the Capitals are, literally, average right now. That part isn't really up for debate.

Instead, let's discuss this hypothetical.

If you could only fix one thing with the current Washington Capitals to make them above-average, what would it be?
