We are beginning to learn more about the sudden collapse of Atlanta goaltender Ondrej Pavelec earlier in the first period.
As reported by Corey Masiak of CSN Washington, the Atlanta PR folks have informed the media that Pavelec "lost consciousness" on the ice and had to be transported to a local hospital. No other information has yet been made available.
