Capitals Vs. Thrashers: Mike Knuble Narrow Atlanta Lead To 1

An unselfish pass by Alexander Ovechkin on a Washington two-on-one set up Mike Knuble for a simple goal. The score is now 3-2 Thrashers with just over 10 minutes remaining in the first game of the 2010 season.

As they often do late in the game on the road, the Capitals are pushing and challenging. They don't want to start out 0-1-0. We could see an exciting finish to this one.

In other positive news, Thrashers goaltender Ondrej Pavelec's condition continues to improve after he collapsed on the ice early in the first period. According to Corey Masiak of CSN Washington, Pavelec is conscious in his hospital room.

"Prelim tests were negative. He's awake, alert and asking about the score but will be kept overnight for observation."
