Capitals Vs. Thrashers: Capitals Unlucky To Be Down 4-2

With less than five minutes left in 2010's opening contest, some bad luck left the Capitals down by two goals once again.

NIcklas Backstrom lost a face-off in front of Michael Neuvirth, and the puck fell to Fredrik Modin. Modin's shot deflected off the thigh of Karl Alzner into the upper corner of the net, leaving Neuvirth with no chance.

The Thrashers are celebrating what looks to be a victory over last year's Southeast Division champs. THings aren't looking good for the Capitals as they're now on the wrong side of a power play with little time remaining.
