It's beyond annoying for a team's fanbase to complain about PLAYER X not showing up on their sport's all-star ballot. I realize this. So, I'm sorry.
↵But this is kind of ridiculous, so I have to point it out. The Washington Capitals have three players on the NHL all-star ballot, which was released earlier this week. Those three players are obvious ones: Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green. No issues there. The only problem is that there's a certain player missing, one who has two hat tricks this season and singlehandily allowed the team to beat a key division rival last Thursday.
↵Seriously, where is Alexander Semin? I realize Semin doesn't have the greatest reputation in the world league-wide, but there's no way there are 51 other forwards better than him. There weren't 51 better forwards last season, and there certainly aren't 51 better forwards this season. Hell, there may not be five better forwards in the league right now.
↵Ted Leonsis is encouraging everyone to write in Semin. I will go ahead and do the same.
