Washington Capitals Injuries: Alex Semin, Eric Fehr, Tom Poti Will Not Make Road Trip, Mike Green Will

The Washington Capitals' roster will be short several key players during their three-game road trip this week. Via Washington Post, Alexander Semin, Eric Fehr and Tom Poti will not travel with the team when they face the Philadelphia Flyers Tuesday, the New York Islanders Thursday and the Toronto Maple Leafs Saturday.

Semin (lower body) has been out since taking a hit from Florida's Steve Bernier in Washington's 3-2 win over the Panthers January 8. Fehr (shoulder) will miss at least 3-4 weeks after colliding with teammate David Steckel during Friday's 4-2 loss to the Vancouver Canucks. Meanwhile, Poti (lower body) has appeared in only 21 games after a litany of injuries has kept him out of action, including a concussion that kept him out of the Winter Classic.

Matt Bradley (finger) has been sidelined since having surgery December 22, but skated on his own again prior to practice. He is not ready to return, however, and will not make the trip either.

One player who will make it is Mike Green. Green did not practice Monday because of a cold, but is expected to play Tuesday against the Flyers. Head coach Bruce Boudreau assured the media that Green's absence had nothing to do with the hit that Senators forward Nick Foligno laid on him at the end of Sunday's game.

With all of the latest injuries, Boudreau toyed with new line combinations during practice.
