Lightning Vs. Capitals Score Update: Jason Chimera Scores Twice, But Tomas Vokoun's Struggles Send Game To Overtime

The Washington Capitals and Tampa Bay Lightning will be battling all season in the NHL's Southeast Division, and their first effort has been thrilling. The two teams are tied at five entering overtime, with Jason Chimera playing hero for the Capitals.

Chimera scored once to start the third period, then scored a second time with only 2:44 remaining in the game to tie the game at five. The goal happened off a Lightning turnover, and Chimera turned and fired the puck over Dwayne Roloson's shoulder for the goal.

Alas, the Capitals are in this position because Tomas Vokoun has struggled in his Capitals debut. Vokoun has given up several soft goals, including the go-ahead goal by Brett Clark with just over seven minutes remaining in the game.
