Lightning Vs. Capitals: Thoughts From Inside Locker Room After Washington's 6-5 Shootout Win

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Washington Capitals defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, 6-5, in a shootout. Here are some quotes from the locker room.

Jason Chimera on the overall game: "There was three fluky goals, I think, on [Tomas Vokoun]. I think for most of the game, we carried the play and we played a pretty solid game. We were down lots, but kept coming back, kept coming back. Nice to get the win, that's for sure."

Marcus Johansson on his return to the lineup: "I always try to play my own game and play as hard as I can. My legs felt good and the whole team worked hard and it was easier to play and tonight it worked. Hopefully, we'll keep it going that way."

Matt Hendricks on his move in the shootout: "Yeah, it's pretty much all I got."

Bruce Boudreau on Tomas Vokoun: "If you asked Tomas, he would be the first one to tell you that's probably not the way he wrote the script...if you're trying to look at the big picture, it takes a guy with a lot of mental toughness to play like that."
