Via @PensInsideScoop, Pittsburgh Penguins Evgeni Malkin is a "game-time decision" Thursday against the Washington Capitals, according to head coach Dan Bylsma.

Malkin has missed Pittsburgh's last two games with a "lower-body injury," but via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review's Rob Rossi, Malkin's injury is soreness from a scar on his right knee, the same knee that caused him to miss the second half of the season after tearing his ACL and MCL February 4.

While his status for the game is uncertain, Malkin will definitely parficipate in the opening faceoff ceremony scheduled to take place before Thursday's game to honor the Lokomotiv tragedy. The Penguins and Capitals will wear commemorative patches and auction off their jerseys after the game.
