Hurricanes Vs. Capitals: Previewing Washington's First Opponent

The Washington Capitals will host the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday. It will be the first game of the year for the Capitals, but the second of back to back games for the Hurricanes who face the Lightning the night before in their season opener. The game starts at 7 and can be seen on Comcast Sportsnet DC.

The Hurricanes finished just outside of the Eastern Conference Playoff picture last year with just 91 points on the Season. The Washington Capitals, as I'm sure you all know, finished with the most points in the Eastern Conference at 107. This is the beginning of what should be a fairly pressure packed season with a ton of expectations for the Capitals.

We'll have more on this game as it approaches. For more on the Carolina Hurricanes, head over to SB Nation's Cane Country blog. And as always head over to Japers' Rink for more on the Capitals.
