The Washington Capitals (10-7-1, 21 points), who have gone 1-5-1 in their last seven games, return home to Verizon Center following an 0-3-0 road trip and have two chances to end their recent streak of lackluster play prior to the weekend.

Monday evening, the Capitals host the Phoenix Coyotes (10-5-3, 23 points) at 7 PM in the teams' only head-to-head meeting of the season. Phoenix is 8-2-2 in its last 10 contests, so Monday's is a matchup between teams headed in opposite directions. Comcast SportsNet has the local television broadcast.

Washington can exact revenge on the Winnipeg Jets (8-9-3, 19 points) on Wednesday evening, also at 7 PM, in the second of six meetings between the teams this season. The Jets dealt the Capitals a 4-1 defeat on Thursday behind two goals from Evander Kane. Comcast SporsNet will provide the local telecast for Wednesday's matchup as well.
