For a while this season Alex Ovechkin was all-but invisible on the offensive side of the ice. obviously, everyone was freaking out, wondering where his shot had gone to. In the last few games however, it seems that Ovie is getting closer to being to the dominant goal scorer we all know and love again.
↵Last night against the Detroit Red Wings, Alex Ovechkin got the puck and immediately started to go right at Brad Stuart. Stuart never stepped up and tried to stop him, so Ovie took advantage. He used Stuart as a screen, shot the puck through his legs, and beat Red Wings' goalie Jimmy Howard. Take a look.

If the Capitals are going to go anywhere in the postseason, then Ovechkin needs to be at his absolute best. He is the straw that stirs the drink for Washington. He can't bring them to a Championship single handily, but he certainly is the most important piece.
