Capitals Vs. Devils: Mike Knuble Gives Caps 2-0 Lead In New Jersey

The Washington Capitals continue to trail the New Jersey Devils by a significant margin in shots on goal. But they lead in the category that matters most. The Score. The Capitals are still pitching a shutout in New Jersey as they' extended their lead to 2-0 heading into the final period.

Mike Knuble added his second point of the night as Washington took advantage of a turnover by the Devils in their defensive zone. Alex Ovechkin set up the goal with a pass across the width of the ice to John Carlson, who found Knuble sneaking in from behind the net. Knuble finished off the play for an easy score on the home team's defensive breakdown.

The Devils are leading in shots on goal 20-8, but that doesn't help them much on the scoreboard when Michal Neuvirth is on his game. The young goaltender has made some very nice saves and looks comfortable in net.
