With three days between games in the Capitals vs. Rangers 2011 NHL Playoffs first-round series, everyone is grasping for storylines. So when Bruce Boudreau decides to suggest that Madison Square Garden ain't all it's cracked up to be, the armchair psychologists and writers looking for a story pounce.
↵↵↵↵↵↵If I'm a member of the Capitals, I'm wondering what Boudreau is worried about. Because drawing media fire the way he did yesterday seems to indicate Boudreau has some concerns about beating the Rangers. A confident coach wouldn't have to resort to gamesmanship.

Just to extend the analogy here for a second: this would be like suggesting Gary Williams doesn't think his team can win at Duke because he said Cameron Indoor Stadium is too cramped. Or, like suggesting Mike Shanahan doesn't think his team can win at Cowboys Stadium because the atmosphere is too extravagant. Or, like ... you know what, I think you all get the picture.
