VIDEO: Alex Ovechkin's Hokey Pokey Dance After Game-Winning Goal Vs. Sabres

Alex Ovechkin has had plenty of wacky goal celebrations in his career, but I don't think any of them were like this. Ovechkin gave the Capitals a 5-4 overtime win over the Sabres with this goal, and then decided to do the hokey pokey, or something.

Yeah, I'm not really sure what that is, but it's still really awesome. The irony is that Ovechkin's goal was pretty mundane, by his standards or, frankly, by anyone's standards. You could argue he wasn't even looking to shoot it. Instead, he was sliding a pass towards the front of the goal, and it just so happened that it deflected off the defensemen's skate into the back of the net. You could say that's not a goal worthy of the celebration.

Of course, if you did that, I'd call you lame, boring and/or a Penguins fans. For all of us who enjoy awesome things, here's a .gif of the dance below the jump, via Japers Rink.
